"I'm inclined to believe that we do need to increase our troops - the Army, the Marines," Mr Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post today.

it was also reported that Bush acknowledged yesterday the US is not winning the war in Iraq but I thought he said it was planed to expand overall size of a highly "stressed" armed forces to meet challenges of a long-term global struggle against terrorists.
"We're not winning, we're not losing," he said !!!! rather than sticking irrevocably to the age old line , "Absolutely, we're winning."
best wishes
Ah, you are so correct - always a step in front of me Lindsay!
Progress? We lied to start the war, managed it miserably, refused to listen to our generals and now admit "we're not winning". Peace on earth can't be far away!
