I was never a big, big fan of the Rolling Stones, but I did pick and choose and really liked some of their songs. But what might have fascinated me most was their professionalism, endurance and dedication to whatever they did.
Keith Richards, the guitarist of the Stones, turns 65 today. Pretty crazy how time flies by! I think that one of Keith's virtues was to be able to "serve the band", blend in ... instead of being a selfish egomaniac.

Thanks Zee!,
My husband who is originally from England and only a wee bit younger then Keith, actually stopped by the computer this morning when he saw the pictures you posted.
I was never much of a Stone's fan either but I salute their longevity. Happy B/Day Keith ... try not to get conked on the head by a coconut this year ... it might return you to your right mind!
Those really are great photos you've chosen.
Actually Jozien, I am surprised that a computer actually functions in your neck of the woods, and that your husband looks at it makes it even more special.
Aggie-
da da dada, dadadah..
I am ashamed to admit that I mostly liked their Pop/Disco period in the early 80's.
"Angie", and such...
Thanks D-Cup, I was on a hunt!
Great photos of my favorite Rolling Stone. Keith surviving to 65 is quite an achievement, given the famous bad boy drug use. Keith is only six months older than I.
I think he's the sexy guy in the Stones. I have waited under the hot hot sun for hours in Colorado Springs for the bad boys of Rock and Roll to drop from the sky and play for us. I think they were three hours late. Still we had three hours of beer drinking and pot smoking so we were pretty toasted by the time their helicopter dropped them off.
