Yeah, it actually does! McCain got me pissed off in recent days, severally hit my not so funny bones. What does he think - that I'm just an other stinking idiot who slides down the latex fibers of cheap rhetoric chutes? This man is in his 70's - he got to retire by now and put all the Cuban crisis and Vietnam struggles behind him. Time to find a condo in Florida - McCain. Because my "leader", you are not! It has become very annoying how you attacked Obama in recent days, the lies that spread like wild-fire.

Bullshit, (Obama) said to "Joe the plumber" that people earnings exceeding more than a quarter million would have to pay 39% instead of the regular 36% in taxes. Why does McCain misquote him daily?
There is no "free for all spreading it all out" plan by Obama.
Get it? The Republicans who have run this country into debt, shoved us into wars that costs us a bundle each week, still claim that we are fiscally a superior nation. That is total bullshit!
OK, I am going to be real mean today. Whoever votes for McCain is for Armageddon, who votes for Obama might see a bit of light on the horizon instead. So even if this "electoral-pony-express-voting-system" of the US is a screwed up system, go out there and vote and make a statement, even if it is just to adjust the statistics!

It is a bit confusing for "outsiders" - believe me it took me a while as an "insider".
I will cast my vote no doubt, even though my vote will count shit since I happen to live in a "Democratic" (blue) state. So if I voted Republican or Democrat, it wouldn't matter at all. The State of New York will still be counted as a Democratic state and send its precious electorates to make up the tally on a national level.
Unfortunately, the "popular vote" is not part of US democracy.

I have dual citizenship, so I can vote. But my state (New York) is a "blue state" and hence my vote is a waste. It is the damn fault of the antiquated electoral system in the States... I should compose a pre- or post-amble of this situation on the last post of my blog.
We voted in a system of "Proportional Representation" here in this Country, so no vote gets wasted. It becomes very much a strategic vote which can certainly let the politicians know who the real bosses are. It does have it's own unique sets of problems too ... but overall it is a fairer system. We have to vote soon too! How I detest politics ... even though I will vote.
I know, like you I'm kinda disgusted by the lack of real democracy..the electoral college has 'got' to go! It's insane that if a majority of people in a particular state vote one way, the 'state' can still be considered 'the other way'..(like TX) pah!
anyhow..glad you're voting though..I need to find my passport and my greencard as I had made the unfortunately in public comment that I'd apply for citizenship if/when Obama becomes President..now I can't find either of them..help!!

i'll probably vote for obama. i think that "wealth has to be spread around." that's part of the american dream: the opportunity to own a home and raise a family if you work hard. the problem is our american middle class is disappearing into a nation of haves and have-nots. absolutely, i believe in spreading the wealth. without a vibrant middle class, we would be no better than a third world country.

So for you folks who live in blue or red states that think their vote is a waste, is it better to be in a "swing" state like me (PA)? There is the excitment of hearing Obama speak (couple weeks ago in Philadelphia and of course last April). We have been lucky to be considered a blue state over the last 8 years but it was close so my vote was definately not wasted. Today PA is less of a swing state and more solidly blue. I think if I have a choice I will go with "blue" state over "swing" state. Thanks for promoting my site. Maybe we see each other Thanksgiving? I'll be in the Berkshires.
ya, i'll vote anyway. there's a lot of other things on the ballot besides the presidential election. and i want my vote to be counted. it's important.
