my work

Some of "my residence clients" relaxing. Gradually I am putting together the bits an pieces of their stories when they voluntarily talk about their past. War and it's aftermath broke their bodies and psyche, but not their spirits despite that almost all of them used drugs and alcohol to chase the demons away.
As the individual puzzles form coherent pictures, I will attempt to sketch their individual bios.
This should be interesting!

I bet the stories will be incredible. Life, under ordinary circumstances is hard enough, but under extra-ordinary circumstances I can understand the dependency on drugs/alcohol.

PUTUS I visited your blog, but I am sorry, I can not leave comments on posts of a language I don't understand.

Aggie
I am torn between fascination and sadness. Those guys tell the story of the darkness within our society.

This will be heartbreaking,
but a very important angle

I hope it will be the real

These pictures are beautiful, Zee. It is already possible to get a small glimpse of their souls.

Great images. The stories and indeed the telling of the stories are important. I wonder if you would consider helping those interested in writing down their stories or making a start to do so. Although I guess that doesn’t come with the job I know you have the special talent to be able to do that.

Best wishes

Whenever I take the bus home from downtown there are always a few or maybe more guys on their way up to the VA Hospital. They are invariably men who've learned hard lessons about being abused by a government they trusted yet their conversations reflect an essential joy in living.

Your photographs could be story enough.

Belladet aer hyggelig og finne deg her pa bloggen min!
Jeg har ikke anledning a snakke Norsk haer i USA, sa ordene kommer lansomt og slitsomt tilbake...
and my writing skills are even worse!

As for these war veterans, yes - their stories are dramatic BUT very sketchy because of the damage done, their conditions. They need a lot of help to tackle even the most mundane daily tasks.

Lindsaylobe - that is a fine idea of yours. The problem is, that quite a few of them are confused to the point that they wouldn't be able to either read or write. I will see what I can do!
