Equilibrium

Equilibrium is the basis of Great Work.
Alchemical saying

...I wish I had a bit of that in these turmoil times, but everything moves fast, too fast to catch a glimpse of what is essential. Sometimes I think we live in this big scheme that urges us to catch up, indoctrinates us with that notion that we always are a bit behind.
Why do we subscribe to that foolish thing that time works against us, that I don't know. The essence in my view is to make time, and not just to simply follow time blindly. This way we create a state of equilibrium around us, living in the present. instead of lurking in the past or the future.

Ah.... the mystery of time.

But to make something, you have to have enough of it... like you can't make a blanket if you don't have enough material...

But what do I know? I'm one of those that follow time blindly.

If you find the answer, let me know, wouldja???

We still have to catch up whenever you come to the city again. The winter season was bad for me, but I will make time for you next time you visit.

I very much appreciate your invitation gesture Nova !
Just got a new job and try to make myself "at home" with this new situation and make ends meet.
Missed you last time I got to the city, will try harder next time to give you ample warnings beforehand, don't know tho when that next time will be under present circumstances.
Be well and I'll at least promise to stay in touch.

Are those your sculptures? I like them. Time hurries on at it's own pace I find. Sometimes I seem to match it's speed and then find myself thrown out of the loop of it at other times. Wouldn't it be nice to control it.

this idea of time as a linear thing, disappearing into infinity at either end, is, historically, pretty new. the ancients treated it as a cyclical thing, or made of layers. i decided a long time ago that, as i don't know how much of it i have, i'm going to savor every moment i get.

it's true zee.
a certain amount of time is allotted to each of us.
and some things are essential: sleep, eat, toilet, and shelter, for example.
all else- the "non-essential"- is basically a gift.
what you do with that gift is up to you.
it's yours.
you can find something wonderful. or waste it on the mundane. in whatever proportion you wish.
thank you for the reminder, zee, to do at least one special thing today to make the day worthwhile.
