magnolia

two phrases, then I leave you alone. One from a movie script where Nicole Kidman played an interpreter (I just happen to love it), the other one is mine.

"Vengeance is a lazy form of grief..." (Kidman)

"My tattoos are invisible to the naked eye, only those who perceive my heart will see them." (me)

I prefer your phrase zee ... ;)

the magnolia in front of my apt is just blooming. I guess we're just about a week behind you guys...

A week sounds about right mister _Z!
My magnolia is "loosing it" already...
I always want to know what I can do with all those beautiful leaves on the ground.

Thanks for embracing my phrase. I would be dishonest not to prefer it myself. But the Kidman script is pretty good - you must admit!

zee I suggest you compost the fallen leaves and then mix them with earth and use the mix as a fertilizer for other organic life and other trees...

The magnolia is awesome.
So what if they get a little
messy when the flowers fall,
they are wonderful to behold.
Even the word Mag-nol-ia
rolls off the tongue like
a beautiful spring day.

Sera -
that was such a nice comment,
thank you!

I have plenty of compost, maybe I'll make a fancy salad and serve it to the neighbors.

Magnolia is edible? I didn't know that. It's a little late for the blooms here, but now I'm curioous to try one.

Regarding Blender: I've never used it. I've heard about it, that's all. I'm 99% sure you've probably looked at the tutorials, but if perchance you didn't, maybe this will help...

I read ALLLLLLLLL the tutorials Sera, thanks though for the link.
No, I was just curious if you had first hand experience.
What do you use for your toons? Plain old what, plain old photoshop?
Cheers, and good luck with the show!

It is a beautiful magnolia tree.. kind of fleeting rare sight that makes one feel like spending the blossom time with the tree.

..and my favorite tattoo line has been that they are nice but scars have better stories.

thanks Susan for checking in.

I still like my own "tattoo-version" better. Am I vain?

scars and tatoos have some things in common.... visible/invisible; each has a story; they're pretty much with you for life; both hurt at first, but not forever; some are beautiful, some not so much; they're both trophies of a sort.....
