Music To My Ears

So I finally secured and accepted, committed to - what have you not, a new job.
It is music to my ears!
The people I work with seem to be truthful, dedicated and open to creative input, and so on.
So yes, I am excited.
Their pay is not exuberant, but the schedule is totally fair, so I will still be able to do other things (like music and sculpture) on the side.
Just installed a new rack above the piano in the studio to hang up instruments. We'll see how that goes.
Be well all. Beware, my posts will become sluggish in the near future, sentiments will focus on personal things at hand and not this blog (unless I get whiled up and feel the urge to talk anyway...).
Will still visit my favorite blogs now and then, don't worry!
Cheers, Zee.

sounds like the dream job. much congratio! i'm looking with envious eyes at the fiddles... that electric one on the end.... a yamaha?
looking forward to hearing how the new job goes.

Dream job my ass, Gfiddler - but it looks promising.
Yes, the far left is a Yamaha (a superb baby) and the one next to it is a piece of shit from China, but it has six strings, was cheap - and that's why I bought it.
I haven't even tried it out yet. Need to get some decent strings first; and they will be more expensive than the fiddle I purchased in the first place. But so it goes...

i tell my students not to buy chinese violins.... so few are worth the cost of a set of cheap strings. i'm curious what kind of strings you like.... i recommend Dominant to my students, but like Pirastro for myself when i'm feeling flush.

Yes, GFID - I do prefer Pirastro also, either Olive or Gold ... depends on the instrument. But they are so darn expensive!
Dominant are good strings though, and they seem to last longer than the Pirastro's. I string my electric violins with them.

Don't worry Graeddelina, my foul language only appears when I am grumpy!
