on the way home

... picture has been taken a few feet away from my house.
A little further up the road the trees are bare.
On my way home I thought of these songs of freedom,
the ones of redemption. Bob Marley came to mind.
Yes, the golden leaves are falling, mingling with the ground to transform themselves into earth, eventually.
The color and light unites with darkness of the earth while skeletons of naked trees are awaiting a covering mantle of snow to come.
Freedom? We are all conditioned and codependent to outer circumstances, like trees that follow seasons. But what sets us apart from trees is that we are not being put stationary. We actually have the liberty to move in space - and our minds are free to roam indefinitely.

Nice photo and insights Zee.

Freedom starts with a state of mind and includes our conscious mind and our ability to move in space and time.

Cool.

Great picture. This road looks like it would make a great path for jogging, or taking a brisk walk, don't you think? :)

Although I totally agree with you here, lately I am wondering how much freedom we really have.

I mean mental freedom. even in our own minds... we tie ourselves to something.

I can't break free...

I want to break free.
(that's another song)

your ramblings made me forget about the picture you posted. It is beautiful... and I like your shadow in it...
It represents your falling leafs... mingling with the earth.

Yes, I am a shadow these days _Z!
It's the potential that counts, not the limitations!

Another beautiful shot ... I feel much better now that I've hugged the fall this year, even if it is for a week only, but I always enjoy photos of my fav season :-)
